How top-up works
You top up with a Moroccan bank card or an international Visa or Mastercard, on your bank's secure 3-D Secure page. PayMeDaba never sees or stores your card number. Top-ups have no fee, start at 10 MAD, and your balance is credited once the bank confirms the payment. See top up by card.
The most common causes
- Online payments disabled. In Morocco, many cards come with internet payments turned off. Turn them on in your banking app or at your branch.
- Card limit reached. Your card has an online payment limit per transaction or per period. Try a smaller amount or ask your bank to raise it.
- 3-D Secure not completed. The bank sends an SMS code or asks you to approve in its app. If the page closes or the code arrives too late, the payment is cancelled.
- Amount under 10 MAD. The minimum top-up is 10 MAD.
- Balance limit reached. Your balance cannot go over your level's limit, for example 2,000 MAD before ID verification (planned limit, may change). See fees and limits.
Get your top-up through, step by step
- Check that online payments are turned on for your card.
- Pick an amount of at least 10 MAD that fits your card limit and your balance limit.
- Keep your phone close to receive the 3-D Secure code.
- Do not close the bank page before approval is complete.
- Wait for confirmation: the amount then shows in your balance.
What happens to your money after a decline?
If the bank declines, nothing is added to your balance and the app shows "Payment not completed". You can try again right away. If your bank statement shows a charge but your balance was not credited, email support@paymedaba.com with your @username, the date, time and amount.
